ABOUT US

Since 1995 the House of Blues and Jazz has been a second living room for those who are hungry for quality live music and a home for blues and jazz musicians from all over the world. In fact, the first blues and jazz bar in new Shanghai. House of Blues and Jazz has belief in high quality music, instead of commercial music, we invest our time and effort in finding the best international bands reconnecting with the roots of jazz and blues music. We have also visiting guests from Lincoln centre as well as legendary musicians in jazz and blues music scene. The current Bund location of House of Blues and Jazz is the fourth incarnation of this mainstay of the Shanghai live music scene,

however with more spacious capacity and an elegant dinning room, the philosophy of the venue as a second living room, “My place is your place” remains for our diverse audiences, either familiar standard guests, curious youngsters or tourists, either new faces or old. The House opens six days a week with jam sessions on Sundays and Mondays off.
